Michael Frank

With over 35 years in the automotive industry rich with Captive finance and OEM experience, Michael was inspired to pursue a career in automotive after reading Iacocca An Autobiography” while an undergraduate at the University of Toledo. Knowing exactly where he wanted to work upon graduation. Michael joined Chrysler Credit Corporation in 1987 in an entry level professional role and was consistently exposed to and mastered various roles of captive finance with enthusiasm and dedication. A lifelong learner, Michael continued to seek opportunity to expand his skills base in the captive finance world and took an assignment to the Daimler Truck Finance American Headquarters to drive process and culture changes after the business unit suffered a few down years. Focused on efficiency, staff development, and an unstoppable desire to succeed, Michael led the effort to restore profitability, instill discipline, define policy and process, and build winning teams. Once the turnaround was under way, Michael led the analysis and underwriting of the largest single commercial credit package in Daimler Truck Finance history. Michael spearheaded the genesis of a start up hybrid business unit that grew from a handful of volunteers to over 75 teammates and over $2 Billion in portfolio acquisitions in a few short years.

Seeking a different challenge, Michael joined with Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles in 2010 shortly after the Sprinter van’s return to MB from Stellantis. Charged with network development starting from scratch, Michael was able to build a dedicated multi-franchise regional dealer network that produced sustainable top tier results in a short time. Instrumental in directing sales and aftersales growth, with an acute focus on consultative relationship based interactions, Michael took on an increased role in a struggling Commercial vehicles region and led his team and region dealers to unprecedented dealer satisfaction and growth.

In 2017 Michael was tapped to direct the Sales and Distribution process for Mercedes-Benz USA Southern Region. Through process improvements and clear communication of mutually beneficial strategy and tactic, under Michael’s leadership the Southern Region grew from a Top 10 global sales market to a Top 5 by 2020.

With deep skill in dealership financial analysis, underwriting, organizational effectiveness and operational efficiency, consultative selling and sales management, and the desire and ability to listen, Michael is uniquely qualified to serve you.
