Brian Gordon
Brian Gordon is a proactive and dynamic executive with 25 years of experience building and operating businesses and driving brand and marketing strategies. Gordon has built and exited two businesses since 2004 while working with some of the world’s most renowned global brands including American Express, Anheuser-Busch, Delta Airlines, Diageo, ESPN, General Motors, Hilton, Mercedes-Benz, Microsoft, Motorola, and Sony.
Gordon presently serves as the Chief Business and Marketing Officer of The Dave Cantin Group (DCG) and presides over business strategy, business operations and marketing strategy for DCG. He works closely with the executive leadership team to drive key initiatives and growth strategies, manage revenue and profit objectives, and drive brand awareness and affinity among retail automotive stakeholders.
Previously, Gordon served as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Accelerate360, LLC, a next generation consumer product conglomerate intimately involved in all critical aspects of delivering products into consumers’ hands. In his role as CMO, Mr. Gordon oversaw all business-to-business marketing initiatives related to the company’s core lines of business, internal marketing and communications as well as the strategic extensions of Accelerate360’s media properties’ intellectual property including US Weekly and Men’s Journal.
Prior to Accelerate360 Gordon founded Engine Shop (2012) and, as CEO, presided over the agency’s rapid growth into one of the industry’s leading full-service engagement marketing agencies. In addition to his day-to-day operational duties, Gordon led the negotiation, management, and activation of high-profile sports investments for clients across a wide swath of partners: NFL (naming rights), NBA teams, MLS team, US Open (tennis), PGA of America, Augusta National GC, FIFA and Activision Blizzard among others. This work led to the agency being named Best in Events and Experiential by Sport Business Journal in 2017. Engine Shop was acquired by George Pyne’s Bruin Sports Capital in 2015 and Gordon remained with the business as CEO until 2021.
Mr. Gordon launched his first business in 2004; MMG, which was acquired by SFX Entertainment in 2012. He began his career working in entertainment, representing celebrity talent including Cameron Diaz and Tyra Banks.
Gordon, a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, is married 22 years to his wife Maria and has 3 boys: Jackson (18), Lucas (16), and Benjamin (14).
